A Paradise for Visitors Enjoying Active Holidays
The Gerlitzen region is a true paradise for rock-climbing enthusiasts and other active holidaymakers. The natural mountain region north of Lake Ossiacher See not only has classic climbing walls featuring various degrees of difficulty, but also high ropes courses, which are appealing to families with children and are also suitable for gaining teambuilding experience. Our team will be happy to inform you about the range of offers and will also make the necessary reservations.
Climbing Park Peterlewand by Lake Ossiacher See
The Peterlewand rock face is a climbing park in St. Urban bei Bodensdorf, just a few kilometres away from the Mountain Resort DIE KANZLERIN. Here you’ll find fixed rope courses at all levels of difficulty, for beginners as well as for advanced climbers. The rock face faces east and offers easy to challenging climbing routes with fabulous views of Lake Ossiacher See. And if you like, you can take a refreshing plunge into the cool water straight after your climbing adventure...
Kanzianiberg on Lake Faaker See
Another climbing park, just a few kilometres away from the mountain resort, is the Kanzianiberg on Lake Faaker See . Steeped in tradition, this is probably Austria’s largest rock-climbing centre. The available routes range from short, secured paths and tracks to challenging climbing tours. Local rock-climbing schools offer workshops and courses for kids and adults – so that even the youngest climbers on secured routes will soon be asking for more.
Adventure Park and High Ropes Course
Just a 10 minutes’ walk from the Mountain Resort DIE KANZLERIN, right next to the middle station, is the Gerlitzen Adventure Park and High Ropes Course. The park offers holiday fun and entertainment for the whole family – for kids from 3 years of age to spry grandparents. Within just a few minutes’ drive there is also the high ropes course on the Taborhöhe right by Lake Faaker See, and also the the largest high-ropes course in Carinthia which is the Tscheppaschlucht high ropes course near Ferlach.
