Culinary Delights in the Border Triangle
Enjoy Specialties from the Alps-Adriatic Region
Regional & Mediterranean Cuisine
Just like Naturel Hotels Village SCHÖNLEITN and Village SEELEITN , the Mountain Resort DIE KANZLERIN is located in the midst of the Alps-Adriatic area, i.e. in the Austria-Slovenia-Italy border triangle. The factors that influence the regional cuisine are accordingly very varied. You can explore new aspects of this diverse culinary culture in our à-la-carte restaurant with its Stüberl and bar every day.
Sustainable Cooking Tastes Best
Whether Carinthian delicacies or Mediterranean specialties: when we purchase products, we always pay attention to sustainably managed foods and raw materials of all kind. We buy our products from longstanding, reliable partners in Austria, Slovenia and Italy – for example saltwater fish from Fonda, the quality sea fish farm in the Slovenian coastal town of Piran, or wines from the Perusini vineyards in the little town of Cividale in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
Culinary Expedition
You can also go out to explore the culinary variety of the Alps-Adriatic region on your own, for example by going on a trip to the Slovenian coastal region of Primorska, home of the Karst ham, paying a visit to the weekly market in Ljubljana or making a flying visit to Udine for a genuine Italian pizza. But there are lots of goodies nearby too: Taste your way through Carinthian specialties from regional suppliers at one of the traditional “Kirchtag” celebrations or other village festivals in the surroundings.
